A ceremony was held on November 8 to lay the first stone for the Bello Wastewater Treatment Plant, a 5m3/second facility which is the cornerstone of a key project in the River Medellín Cleaning and Recovery Program where the river crosses the Colombian city of the same name and its area of influence.

Villarrubia de los Ojos town council and ACCIONA Agua have signed a 25-year concession contract for the management of the municipality’s Integrated Water Cycle. ACCIONA Agua will run the management of the drinking water supply, sewer system and wastewater treatment which will bring in 2.5 million euros in water rates for the town hall.
